download manager does not work but standard transfer do

I am trying to download Windows Vista Beta 2 off the CPP but whenever I can start the dl manager (which is rare) all that happens is that I get one of the two following errors:
1- If downloading using the ActiveX control it reports network issues and it can't connect. My firewall is Windows Firewall on XP and a NAT. 2- If downloading using the Java applet it reports the file does not exist.
However if I download using the standard transfer (using the same file the managers connect to) it works OK (if I get it at a good time). So far it has done 33mb. Can't wait!
